 IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU ORDER
What you need to know!!

1- Always order your gown in a size that will fit you today!  We get alot of emails from girls that want to leave the ordering of their gown to the last minute so that they can lose as much weight as possible. We understand that everyone wants to look their best for their wedding day, however it is best to order your gown as soon as possible so that you do not cut it too fine before your wedding as you may need to get alerations done etc. NEVER order a gown in a size that is currently too small e.g current size 16 and then purchasing a 14, as this is almost always guaranteed to leave you with a gown that does not fit you, and without enough time to get a new gown made.  If you can have it altered it is usually an expensive process to have this done. In some cases it’s cheaper to get a whole new gown made. We highly recommend that you choose your current size with a corset back which will allow for any weight loss (or gain if it happens to go the other way!).

2. Also never assume ANYTHING!!! For example if you order a gown in a standard size always double check your measurements as our definition of a particular “standard size” may differ from the standard size that you normally purchase. Our manufacturer uses a different sizing method for their gowns. For example if you normally purchase a size 14 check the sizing page of our website to ensure that the bust, waist, hips and hollow to hem measurements for a size 14 match your current measurements. Often your gown size is very different to your regular clothes size.  If you find that one or more of your measurements are bordering two sizes always select the larger size as it is very easy to take a gown in rather than let it out.  If you order a gown that is too small in most cases it will be almost impossible to take out to allow it to fit.
Also please note that a standard size may not be an exact fit so it is more than likely that you will need to have some alterations done. Please note that we do not offer any kind of refund or reimbursement for dresses that don’t fit because the customer has purchased the incorrect size.

3. Made to measure sizes: All dresses/gowns are cut from the measurements that are supplied by the customer and are checked before they leave the factory and checked again at our quality control process in our head office. This means that a dress/gown that does not match the measurements supplied by the customer will never willinging be sent out. Remember measure twice and cut once!  Please note that there are no refunds or returns on gowns that do not fit due to measurements that have been taken incorrectly.  We highly recommend that you have your measurements taken by a professional.

3. Do choose a corset/lace up back if possible, this allows you to alter the size if you loose or put on weight, it will also save you on having alterations done and will save you if you have taken your measurements wrong!

4. Do ask alot of questions, if you are unsure about how the process works on ordering a gown please contact us.  If you are unsure about a style or material
please ask us!

5. If you are unsure about colours please contact us to receive free samples, do not just assume that the colour you see on the computer screen will be the same in real life. All colour samples are to be used as a guide only, each dye batch can differ slightly.

6. If you have more than one bridesmaid and are purchasing multiple dresses NEVER order them separately.  All dresses will need to be cut from the same fabric roll to ensure that there are no colour discrepancies.
This also applies to ordering one dress to see what it is like and the ordering the rest at a later date, not only will the colour be different but there may be a slight alteration in the style.  All of our dresses are not mass produced, they are all custom made to order so should be ordered at the same time.

7. Whether you choose a standard size or a made to measure size, alterations may still be necessary depending on the style of the dress.

We are here to help you with any questions that you have so please contact us if you are unsure.

Gown Train Lengths Available

Sweep/Brush

This is the shortest train available, extending about 0.25m beyond the base of the gown. In fact, this does not really look too much like a train at all, as the hem spills just a little over floor length. This is very elegant and very slimming.

Court

The same length as a sweep train, however the court train extends directly from the waist (approx 1m).

Chapel

This is the first of the gowns to have a full train. Generally, the length will not extend beyond 1.5 metres in length from the waist. Whilst you will need assistance with setting the train out when you arrive at the church/ceremony, and during photos, you do not require assistance when walking down the isle.

Semi-Cathedral
A semi-cathedral is about half way between a chapel and cathedral length. Perfect for a semi-formal or formal wedding gown.
(approx 1.8m from the waist)

Cathedral

This train is no more than 2 metres in length (from the waist). Again, you will only require assistance when arriving at the church and setting up for photographs. Walking will not be difficult as the fabric will simply follow. Only when the gown has a very heavily adorned train will you require assistance as you walk.

Royal (Monarch)

This is the Princess Diana train, being quite long. Generally, this train sits no more than 2.5 metres in length (from the waist); however, royal weddings will have trains far exceeding these measurements.

SOME OF THE MATERIALS USED ON OUR GOWNS

FABRICS

SATIN
Our manufactuer only uses the highest quality thick bridal satin (395/4811 grade Bridal Satin).
Dresses made of cheap material will turn dark and yellow after they are stored for over 3 months.
For our dresses, even if storing them for 5 years, the colour will not change.

SATIN CHARMEUSE
A soft, lightweight, very flowy and drapey polyester fabric, high gloss - looks very much like silk

CHIFFON
A beautiful light weight fabric.
This fabric drapes very well and is very soft on the skin.  Fabulous drape, soft and floaty.

GEORGETTE
Much the same fabric as chiffon, however is a little stiffer, it is also soft and drapey.

TAFFETA
Taffeta - is a crisp, smooth woven light fabric, a great alternative to thick bridal satin and has made a comeback in the production of bridal/formal gowns.

ORGANZA
Another very sheer fabric, however instead of being soft and drapey (like georgette or chiffon) it is stiff.  As organza is stiff, it can handle beading and embroidery quite well.

LACE
Our manufacturer sources the highest quality lace throughout the world, often
used as an overlay, can be plain or hand beaded.

SOFT BRIDAL TULLE
A soft bridal tulle, used for gown overlays such as ball gowns.

BEADWORK

SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS
Our manufacturer uses authentic world-famous Austrian Swarovski® brand crystals which have been the original crystal pedigree for more than a century. Swarovski’s sparkling beads draw out magnificent colors and bestow enchanting elegance upon any gown. Their outstanding quality is the result of special polishing, a perfect cut, exact geometry and precise angles, which draw out maximum brilliance.
Some examples used on our gowns are:
Crystal Clear Bicones

Elegant Rainbow Bicones

JAPANESE MATSUNO BEADS
The best quality beads in the industry, these include seed, bugle, glass and pearl beads.

SEQUINS
High quality bridal sequins

Dress of Your Dreams – Workmanship, Construction and Materials used to create our
wedding gowns.

FABRIC:  The highest quality thick bridal satin (395/4811 grade Bridal Satin).
Dresses made of cheap material will turn dark and yellow after they are stored for over 3 months. For our dresses, even if storing them for 5 years, the colour will not change.

Our manufacturer uses at least 4 layers of fabrics to make the bodice of our bridal gowns. For cheaply made bridal gowns, there are only 2 layers of fabrics (satin and lining), and some even have no lining. With 2 layers of interlining, the bodice part of our bridal gowns is very firm. Another layer of interlining around neckline to make this part of the dress extra solid.

BONING: Our manufacturer uses 8-10 bones in the bodice of most of our bridal gowns, so the bodice part of our bridal gown is very strong.  For cheaply made bridal gowns, there are much less bones used, and some even have no bones at all.

LINING:  All of our gowns are fully lined.

BEADWORK: Our manufacturer only uses Japanese made Matsuno beads (also known as MGB beads).  This is the top quality bead in the industry, and the price is 15 times higher than the beads used on cheaply made bridal gowns.  Cheap beads would turn dark after 3 months.  We also use 100% genuine Swarovski Crystals, Czech Diamonds, Cultured Pearls and high quality bridal sequins.  All of the beadwork on our gowns are stitched by hand, they are not glued!
